The Sokon EC36, the latest addition to the MAW Vriddhi portfolio, was launched at the Radisson Hotel on June 25, 2024. This grand event celebrated the unveiling of Rajesh Hamal as the brand ambassador. Officials from Sokon China attended, and Tushar Gupta, CEO of MAW Vriddhi Commercial Vehicles, along with Rajesh Hamal, handed keys to the first 41 customers and cut a cake to mark this milestone. The Sokon EC36 is priced at Rs 45,50,000.

The EC36 is an 11-seater electric van with a range of 300 kilometers. Its powerful 60 kW electric motor generates 200 Nm of torque and can handle slopes with a gradeability of 40%. It features a 42 kWh CATL battery that fast charges from 20% to 80% in 1.3 hours and from 0% to 100% in 2.5 hours. Its ground clearance of 188 mm makes it suitable for Nepalese roads.

Safety features include ABS, EBD, reverse radar, and a camera. The van also has a regenerative braking system, typically found in more expensive EVs, and a touch screen multimedia infotainment system.
