Hero Xtreme 160R 4V: A Powerful and Stylish Bike Launched

Hero has introduced the new Hero Xtreme 160R 4V in India, a bike that offers more power, performance, and features than its predecessor. The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is available in three variants, with prices ranging from Rs 1.27 lakh to Rs 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom price). Here are some of the highlights of this bike.

Engine and Performance

The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is powered by a 163cc, single-cylinder engine that has an oil cooler and a 4-valve head. This engine produces 16.9hp at 8,500rpm and 14.6 Nm at 6,500rpm, which is an increase of 1.7hp over the previous model. The bike has a 5-speed gearbox and a 12-liter fuel tank. The Standard and Connected variants weigh 144kg, while the Pro variant weighs 145kg.

Suspension and Brakes

The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V comes with different suspension options depending on the variant. The Pro variant gets a premium set-up of a 37mm KYB USD fork and a Showa mono-shock, both adjustable for preload. The other two variants have a telescopic fork and a mono–shock. The bike has disc brakes at both ends, with an anti-locking braking system (ABS).

Design and Features

The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V has a sporty and aggressive design, with longer and angular tank extensions, a dual-tone paint scheme, and a redesigned full-LED headlight. The bike also has a negative LCD display that shows call and notification alerts when paired with a smartphone via Bluetooth. The Pro variant has a split-seat set-up, while the other two have a single-seat option. The bike also has some accessories available, such as a phone mount, bar end mirrors, etc.

The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is priced at Rs 1,27,300 for the Standard variant, Rs 1,32,800 for the Connected variant, and Rs 1,36,500 for the Pro variant (ex-showroom). The bike competes with other bikes in the segment such as the Bajaj Pulsar N160 (Rs 1.23 lakh-Rs 1.30 lakh) and the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V (Rs 1.24 lakh-Rs 1.32 lakh). Bookings open from tomorrow and deliveries will start from the second week of July.
