Nissan has revealed its next-generation all-electric Leaf, embodying three core aspects of the company’s EV design philosophy: intelligent driving, intelligent power, and intelligent integration.

The new Nissan Leaf comes packed with futuristic technology, and some of its remarkable features include ProPilot autonomous driving. This single-lane self-driving feature allows the car to follow the vehicle ahead at a speed preset by the driver, ranging from 30kmph to 100kmph. Additionally, the ProPilot Park feature uses 12 ultrasonic sensors and four high-res cameras to take control of acceleration, braking, handling, shift-changing, and parking brakes, enabling the car to skillfully guide itself into a parking spot.

Safety is a top priority in the new Nissan Leaf, making it one of the safest cars on the road. The safety equipment includes Intelligent Lane Intervention, Lane Departure Warning, Intelligent Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Intelligent Around View Monitor with moving object detection, and Emergency Assist for pedal misapplication.

Under the hood, the Nissan Leaf boasts an improved electric motor, delivering 150PS of power and 320Nm of torque. Compared to its predecessor, this represents an impressive 38 percent increase in power and a 26 percent increase in torque. The new 40kWh battery pack offers more energy capacity without increasing its size, resulting in a remarkable 67 percent increase in energy density compared to the 2010 model, enhancing overall performance and range.
