Design of Tata Nexon EV
The physical appearance of the new Tata Nexon is quite similar to its petrol variant. The beautiful Tata logo is impressively included over the bi-arrow grille pattern. Unlike other electric vehicles, Tata Nexon EV features the charging port where most vehicles have a fuel cap.
The alluring Tata Nexon EV boasts an excellent halogen projector setup for its headlamps with Y-shaped DRLs that double up as turn indicators. The massive panoramic sunroof has prominently improved the sense of space. The compact SUV of the Tata Nexon EV weighs 1400kgs which is 200kgs less than the MG ZS EV.
Another thing that might drag your attention is the big boot space of Nexon EV that can easily fit two big luggages. The plastic built-up dashboard, along with the free-standing touchscreen, makes the interior a lot more premium. However, unlike other EV rivals, the new Tata Nexon has a strapping brake paddle with a predictable response. Although the new Tata Nexon EV has several lucrative features and functionalities, we still do not recommend the vehicle for highway drives. This is because of its lower range (which is 220kms although the company taunts it to be 312kms) and the lack of vehicle charging stations on the highway. However, in Nepal, most of our daily destination is within 25kms, making it a realistic approach.
The dedicated AC vents are responsive to the touchscreen and allow you to experience a fantastic cool cabin. Besides, the SUV also includes rear AC vents. Therefore, passengers in the back seat will not miss out on the experience of lighting fast cooling.
Tata Nexon EV: Battery and Charging
Every EV buyer is anxious about the charging time of the electric vehicles before turning their heads into other specifications. For example, the luxurious Tata Nexon EV incorporates a big 30.2kW battery that takes 60 minutes to charge from 0 to 80% when charged with the 50kW public CCS point.
However, most customers will have the type two connector for a day-to-day go, and when the vehicle is charged with a home wall box charger, it takes around 8 hours to charge the car from 20 to 80%. Similarly, the Nexon EV runs around 220kms in a single charge.
Tata Nexon EV Price In Nepal
Tata Nexon EV is the most budget-friendly electric vehicle currently available in Nepal. It comes in three different variants, with the base model (the Xm variant) costing exactly Rs.37,00,000. Likewise, the mid-range model (XZ) costs Rs.39,00,000 and the luxury version costs Rs.41,00,000.
